Egeran also curates nomadic projects aimed at fostering new ideas. Past projects include THE CENTRE CANNOT HOLD (2017); REVERSE CORNER: ISIL EGRIKAVUK (2013); and IN THE BETWEEN (2009), an official parallel event to the 2009 Istanbul Biennial. Her aim is to encourage a vital dialogue.
From 2011 to 2013 Egeran was based in Istanbul where she founded and directed Egeran Galeri with the intention of fostering a dialogue between the Turkish and international art communities.
Egeran received a B.A. from Barnard College, Columbia University (1994), and did her postgraduate studies in Modern and Islamic Arts at the highly regarded Institute of Fine Arts, NYU.
